Michelle lives in Monroe with her husband Bill and their daughters Grace and Carolyn. The daughter of Millie and Bob Degraer, Michelle is a graduate of St. Mary Catholic School, Monroe and St. Mary Academy. Michelle is currently in her third term as Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Monroe.1 As Clerk-Treasurer, she has always ensured that residents have access to their government and fair, efficient elections.1

Michelle has been involved with the Monroe community through numerous volunteer positions, including the Board of the Monroe County United Way,2 the Monroe Center for Healthy Aging,3 River Raisin Institute,4 and the Monroe Family YMCA.5
